DATE CHANGE:
August 17: Kenwood Kidz Unplugged Talent Show
If your child plays an instrument, sings, is a comedian, has a collection or hobby to show, can do "magic tricks," memorizes well (poems, Scripture passages) ...whatever... we would like them to participate. Please sign up your child in the comments below. The goal is to help him or her feel comfortable (as much as is possible) "on stage" and in front of peers. This is a way to teach/train/practice early and before the teen years come. It's an opportunity for them to give back to God a talent or gift He has blessed them with. Please encourage them to participate and talk with them about this opportunity. IT IS NOT A COMPETITION.
SCHEDULE
Kenwood Kidz Unplugged will not be taking place on these dates:
August 24 - City Gospel Mission (No one meets at the church)
August 31 - GBSC Revival Service (Uncertain of the Kenwood Adults)
Please respond in the comments below or to me personally as to whether or not your family will be participating in Kenwood Kidz Unplugged once school has begun. My thought was to finish this theme in September. Due to Kenwood Revival, CGM and an absence for vacation, we would only meet on October 12...which I am HAPPY to do if the kids would like to recite Scriptures, Catechism and Creed that evening. November will look similar and we would dismiss for December and January. Your thoughts would be welcome.
Are times, food and adult group staying the same?
ReplyDeleteAlso, my kids are saying the talent night is kids only?
I am only assuming the answer to question 1 is "yes." I haven't discussed that yet as I wanted to hear from parents.
ReplyDeleteThe children voted for a "kids only" talent show but I am going to try and persuade them (ok - bribe!!) them to let it be for everybody. I want to have a "show and tell" of their songs and memorization too.
